Database of Endocrinologists in the United States

Posted on November 8, 2009 by Joshua

EndocrinologistThe table below shows contact information for more than 9000 Endocrinologists in the United States. It’s unclear how many of these doctors have experience with transgender people (none of them list trans health under areas of focus) but nevertheless the database serves as a useful starting point for a US endo search.

Note that you can search, resort and filter the data right from this page. Data can also be edited. For example, if you don’t see your endocrinologist listed you can add them to the database. Or, if there’s an endo listed who sees transgender people in their practice, you can update the listing to include trans health in their areas of focus.

There are all kinds of ways that open databases like this one could be leveraged by transgender people: databases of doctors, research and journal articles, legal information, support groups and other resources. What kinds of databases would you find helpful?

I wish we could filter the database based on whether or not a doctor requires the SOC or not. Dr. Hunter Hammill in Houston, TX does not require a psych letter.
